Gunnar Saves the Day is a rhyming book for kids about an insecure cat named Gunnar. He isn't as daring or nimble or quick, and he isn't as graceful a runner. When it's time to join up and unite as a group, Gunnar learns differences make us stronger. He learns there's no need to feel awkward or strange for being unique any longer!

Meet the Characters
Gunnar grew up on the Eastern Shore and loves eating fresh shellfish. His favorite shellfish is the blue crab. Shrimp are an even tie. Gunnar will be eating more than you at that meal.
Much like our dog friends, he enjoys being in the action. Gunnar loves to go outside and roll around in the dirt and grass, especially on a bright, sunny day!
Zimmerlikes to play with packing paper and gallup up and down the halls of his kitty castle.
He enjoys fresh morning chomps on his fresh catnip and catching the warm sun rays on the kitchen table.
One day, Zimmer hopes to meet his favorite chef, Rachel Ray.
Lillian enjoys drinking water out of the faucet and also from everyone else's cups. Her favorite treats are pumpkin and freeze dried salmon.
In her spare time, you can find Lillian chasing flies, napping on fluffy blankets, or inside the newest cardboard box. She loves to go for walks in the yard and watch the birds.
